happy birthday dr. seuss

Yesterday was Dr. Suess' birthday. We had a small party. We made Cat in the Hat hats and some festive cookies.

We love his books.

If I Ran the Circus is Tanner's current fave.

Addie is fond of The Foot Book and Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

Brandon has Red Fish Blue Fish completely memorized (Tanner's previous favorite)

The ABC book holds a permanent place in my memory and my heart due to the fact that reciting it in the dark while rocking Tanner was a fail proof method for getting him to sleep when he was a toddler. My favorite line was "ten tired turtles in a tuttle tuttle tree" which I changed to "ten tired Tanners in a tuttle tuttle tree". Clever, I know.
