Addie has been potty training for over a year. She will go weeks without an accident and suddenly seems to decide it is perfectly acceptable to go in her pants multiple times a day. Some days she insists on wearing undies. Other days she is adamant that she wear a diaper. We know that she is capable and I am tired of the whole diaper/undies switcharoo. So this week I told her that diapers aren't for daytime anymore.

This is how our conversation went:

Mommy: Addie, we aren't going to use diapers during the day anymore. You'll only wear undies during the day and if you go a whole week without getting your undies wet or dirty, I'll take you to the store and you can pick out anything you want. Addie: okay!

Mommy: What do you think you might want to get?

Addie: (breaks into a huge grin and gets a twinkle in her eye) "DIAPERRRRS!!!!"

Mommy: (suppressing laughter) how about a necklace?

Addie: And bracelet too?

Mommy: Sure.

Addie: Okay!
